BRISTOL, Tenn. – Authorities suspect two out-of-towners caught trying to cash forged payroll checks at the Walmart here are professionals – part of a larger crime ring that understands the ins and outs of Walmart check cashing.
Sharon Laverne Rivers, 36, of Newberry, S.C., and Octavis Dionte Lambert, 32, of Atlanta, were arrested at 7 p.m. Sunday after a Walmart clerk became suspicious of the man’s fake ID.
