The allegations of fraud against Katonah businessman and Democratic fund-raiser Hassan Nemazee have expanded since his arrest last month on charges of defrauding Citibank of $74 million. On Monday, Mr. Nemazee, who owns homes in Katonah and in Manhattan, was indicted by a grand jury on three counts of bank fraud and one of identity theft. The indictment alleges that Mr. Nemazee, over the course of about a decade, defrauded Citibank, the Bank of America, and HSBC of more than $290 million. Read the full story

Richland County (WLTX) — Deputies in Richland County need the community’s assistance in locating a man wanted for bank fraud and identity theft.

Sheriff Leon Lott says 25-year-old Kendall Maurice Harmon is wanted on two counts of bank fraud and one count of identity theft. Lott says Maurice has victimized several people.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) — A man from Pennsylvania was sentenced to two years in prison and ordered to pay more than $29,000 in restitution for aggravated identity theft.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Charles Taylor, 47, of Harrisburg, Pa., pleaded guilty to the crime in June.
