This is what I always advice to my friends who have just opened an online banking account or a payment processor account. I would also like to advice everyone to never open this kind of accounts on public computers like libraries and internet cafes.

That is a smart tip. If you do not have your own computer then I would suggest you open the account by mail or in person. If it has to be done on the internet, try to use a family members. Be sure that you clear the cookies after you are done with the application.

I never open any banking accounts on the internet. I always do it in person. It is safer and, call me old fashioned, I just love that human interaction.
In the ideal world, online banking is very safe, but with so many computers being infected due to our own negligence, I would say it is a bit of risky business.

I agree with Lana that human interaction is better than just transacting through a machine. But there are times when we need to use online banking accounts for international transactions. You can do this in brick and mortar banks but it will take some time to clear up the funds that you have sent abroad.
By the way Lana, are you the same person in the videos in this website? If so then I would like to say that you are beautiful and keep up the good work.
Protectyou said a very important thing if ever you are going to use other computers. You should try to clear all the cookies in the browser where you opened your accounts.

People tend to do many things on open computers like this and what I find more amazing besides the next person in line could just as easily see your personal stuff when you do not logout, is that most are also monitored.

Secureme,
yes, I am the one in the videos and yes, this is my blog and forum, which were both inspired and created because of my own experience with ID theft. I am very passionate about this subject. Thank you for your kind words. I will keep up the good work and continue making videos. It has been a little bit tough to get new ones out, because I was really sick for a while and I lost my voice. But I am getting better and will be posting more videos and articles. Please keep checking my site. Without you, this site would not be possible.
