I think one of the worst things people do is not stay on top of their credit cards, whether they are actively using them or not. It's vitally important to go online and check your activity on a regular basis, even daily. Trust me, it's worth it. If you do suspect anything is out of whack, talk to those creditors and keep talking to them until you get the situation resolved.

Doing the extra mile to make sure that your credit card is safe is better than be sorry when you are already into a big mess. Prevention is always better than cure even if it needs a lot more action on your part.

I check my credit card activity every time I open my computer.

Sorry for my ignorance, but how to check my credit card activities online? I use my credit card on PayPal and I do check my PayPal account regularly. I don't remember using my CC other than on PayPal and ...well, Amazon. How to check my credit card activities on Amazon?

If you have a regular credit or debit card, your bank or creditor usually has a website where you can check your balance and activity and do all kinds of things. This is pretty standard. If it doesn't, it's a dark ages bank.

This is always a good idea to monitor all of your accounts. Make sure to create very strong passwords for all of your accounts and change them frequently.
